How do I get started?
Call me at (512) 814-5457 or complete the contact form in the footer. After a free 15-minute phone consultation to ensure I fit your needs, we will schedule your first session and complete some formal paperwork.
You’ll receive this paperwork via email and can complete it in your own time before the first scheduled session. I will send an email with the link to our virtual session.
Our first session will involve reviewing your paperwork, asking questions, and getting to know each other.
After this initial session, I will take your lead on discussion topics. If you are interested in breath work and mindful movement, we can incorporate this into sessions within your comfort level.
Can I cancel an appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?
I understand that things come up and schedules change. Please get in touch with me as soon as you can to cancel a session. If we need to look at the calendar for a more suitable time, I will be happy to do so.
If you cannot attend a session and do not let me know in advance, I will charge my full fee for the time allotted for your session.
What is the best way to contact you?
For general questions or scheduling, email is the best: megan@meganmcwilliamstherapy.com. If you are in an emergency, always call 9-1-1. Crisis support is available by text at 741741.
What is your schedule?
My schedule is Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 2 pm (last appointment available). Many of us know the challenges of being a working parent and the limits of childcare. I try to prioritize afternoon time with my family, which keeps me balanced and prevents burnout so I can be your best therapist.
How does my information stay private?
All sessions are on Google Meet, a HIPPA-compliant platform. I maintain a confidential office space and use noise-cancellation tools to keep your session private.
I encourage you to take care when selecting a location to join your therapy sessions. Consider your physical and emotional comfort. Your emails are also HIPPA protected, and the platform I use for notes and records is Simple Practice, a HIPPA-compliant platform.
How do I pay?
How long do sessions last?
How long will I be in therapy?
Therapy is an individual experience. Therapy can last as long as necessary, depending on your needs and circumstances. We will work together to create a schedule that makes sense for you and explore your goals regularly.
Your life will change, and knowing you have someone in your corner when things get tough is comforting.
